Friend, welcome to My Marketing Toolbox’s world!

I’m Catherine. I’m French. I am a professional in communications and marketing matters with over 14 years of experience abroad (Russia and Turkey) and I just moved back to my homeland. I was raised in the Touraine region in France where I did the majority of my studies in applied foreign languages to business. I, then, moved to Rennes where I graduated in a Master specialized in Languages and International Business to the Eastern and Central Europe and CIS countries.

I have been living in Moscow for 7 years where I used to work as a communication and marketing manager in a French audit and consulting company. After 7 years, I was looking for some changes and to move to a new country. I moved to Istanbul where I had several marketing and communication positions for fashion brands. However, I didn’t recognised myself in these experiences nor in the working ways.

This is how I created My Marketing Toolbox.

It was in 2017. That year wasn’t an easy one in Turkey and the activities were rather quiet in the fashion showroom where I was working. I was most of the time alone. And I got bored. I had lots of free time and I couldn’t leave the showroom. I needed to busy myself not to loose my mind. This is at that moment that I told myself « Why not offering my services to other people who might need them? As content creation, website creation, website update, plannings and so on ? ».

Then, I started to teach, first in a fashion school, and then at the French Institute. I became aware I loved teaching, especially sharing my knowledge and experiences with the students. After some time, I realised I wanted to do both: and marketing consulting and teaching, without to have to sacrifice one for the other.

I am passionate by culture, languages and marketing and I am lucky to be able to mix these three passions in my professional path.

I speak fluently French, English and Russian. And I manage to communicate in Turkish. I also can understand German and Polish.

I am also an art lover. I will run to any kind of exhibitions and festivals and speak to any artistic oriented people to develop my creative and out of the box thinking. This is how I feel inspired and add an arty and creative touch in all my marketing and communications answers.

And I like building, testing and developing. It led me launching my own podcast, My Fashion Stories Box, where I share my love for fashion, history, researches, communication and technical aspects. You might want to listen to it :)

I am the proud human of 2 cats, Popeye and Swee'Pea, who were born in Istanbul on April, 23 2020, right during the lockdown. And they are now living the best of their lives in France, where I moved back during the Summer 2021, after 14 years abroad.
